Safe to put regular conditioner on dry hair?

I have super-thick long wavy hair that I color often and is prone to drying out easily to begin with. I've heard before that a cheap deep conditioning treatment is to put your regular conditioner on your dry hair and put a shower cap over it then blow dry it and let it sit, then to rinse it out and shampoo your hair. Is this really a good idea? Will it make my hair feel soft or just really greasy? Have any of you guys actually done this? Thanks!Safe to put regular conditioner on dry hair?
yeah thats what i do.

when you deep condition wet hair, the hair cat absorb much conditioner cuz its already full of water.

but if you deep condition dry hair, the hair will be able to absorb a lot more conditioner.

it wont make it greasy as long as you rinse wellSafe to put regular conditioner on dry hair?
You can do this, except you do the conditioner last. You can use a blow dryer if you don't have a hooded dryer or a heat cap. If you wash it last, you wash away the effects of the conditioner. Since your hair is dry you should use a moisturizing conditioner.
I'm not really sure, but get the leave in conditioner.

I have some and it works amazing. You put it in after shower or on dry hair and style as you rplease.
I never heard of that

but there are some special conditoners that go on dry hair

if you put regular conditoner on, it will make your hair look greasy.
