To African American women, what is a great shampoo to use with exteremly dry hair?

Also, if you have any tips on a great straightening iron that would be nice. I really do not like to perm my hair so if any of you have any tips on which shampoo is best. I just moved away from chicago and i miss my old salon. Any ideas would be helpful. Also if anyone knew a great salon in Arlington VA or DC that would also be helpful. Thanks! To African American women, what is a great shampoo to use with exteremly dry hair?
As far at the straightening iron: Paul Brown Hawaii. My hair stylist had to purchase it from a beauty store for me, but it is fantastic! I have had it for 6 years and it is the best. CHI is also a good one too, as far as black hair goes. U need a ceramic flat iron because it helps protect the hair. And, if you can't find these brands in a beauty salon store, you can always buy anything online nowadays; a GOOD ceramic flat iron will cost you anywhere from $125 to $200. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy a Coloris flat iron (from those kiosks in the mall), they will not work on black hair. My roommate who is blonde has this kind and it works on her type of hair, but for hair that is more coarse like ours, this will not work. Good flat irons are expensive, but well worth it. Mine was about $150, but again it has lasted me for years, and it does the best jobs at keeping the natural oils in my hair. Good luck! Creme of Nature

Mane 'N Tail

Both adds moisture to hair. Also use the conditioners too
Try this tip first. Take olive oil, honey and one egg mix it together and leave on hair for an hour or 2. The olive oil is for the dryness, the honey locks in moisture and the egg is for the cholestrol. Get Mane and Tail Shampoo this works well for all damaged and dry hair types. Do the above treatment once a week and you will see great results.

Good Luck.
