I want to cut my hair short and do layers but the problem is that is I cut it short is it going to get poofier? What should I do?What hairstyle should i do with poofy dry hair?
well..you should ask the stylist to cut your hair so you get rid of some of the weight of your hair. that can be done by cutting specific types layers with specific scissors.

so that will make it LESS poofy, and you can FINALLY WEAR IT DOWN. WOO HOO!

also remember you can always wear it HALF up half DOWN. that's always really cute!!

here are some tips for styling poofy hair:

If your hair is naturally curly, stop washing it with shampoos containing sodium laureth/lauryl %26amp; ammonium laureth/lauryl sulfate: they dry out the hair terribly, making your hair puffier, and bigger.

Use a wide toothed comb to detangle hair when wet.

Use a good moisturzing conditioner.

If you can, try not to use silicones, they build up on the hair, and you need sulfates to remove them, which dry out your hair. Any ingredient that ends in -cone or -xane is a silicone. (Some common ones are dimethicone, cylmethicone, and amodimethicone. Amodimethicone is a lot easier to remove)

Use a a diffuser if you blowdry your hair.

If you do shampoo, use ones with ingredients like these: Apricotamidopropyl Betaine and Cocoamidapropyl Betaine. Activate makes a good one.

DON'T TOUCH YOUR HAIR WHILE IT'S DRYING! Touching it will make it frizzy. Plus, it will make your hair expand.

***Tips***

Don't flat iron your hair, it's one of the worst things you can do!

If you want your curls to look a little looser, try putting a clip at then end of it while it dries, it weighs it down.

Try getting the book, ';Curly Girl'; by Lorriane Massey, it's excellent.

***Warnings***

Don't put the blow dryer on high because having it too hot will damage your hair and dry it out even more. Use the warm setting, switch to cool for a once-over once your hair is completely dry. It will seal your style %26amp; help block out humidity. What hairstyle should i do with poofy dry hair?
you could use a straightner,

%26amp; there are sprays that you can use

to make it not frizzy or poofy.

if you get it cut shorter it will be better.

good luck :]
