Is putting a regular hair conditioner in dry hair for awhile good for it?

I just took like cleaning conditioner and put it in my dry hair, and was planning to leave it in for awhile.. to make it softer. is this good or bad?Is putting a regular hair conditioner in dry hair for awhile good for it?
im a hairdreser and i would recommend putting it on towel dried hair then wrapping sum cling film round and popping the hairdryer on it for 5 mins then leaving it for another half hour!!Is putting a regular hair conditioner in dry hair for awhile good for it?
i dont see how i could hurt it. i wouldn't leave it in suppppppper long though.
I don't know if it's good, but I did that a couple of times and it made my hair softer.
its good.....ive tried it and infact it really helps alot....just dont put it on for TOO long (eg. 1 hour) of your hair might start to fall off....i suggest about 15-20mins is good....

but its gonna make ur hair greasy so wash it out after ur done.
